Water and Electricity in Singapore
Water in Singapore
You should probably know that Singapore is warm and humid thus it is a must to hydrate yourself as much as possible especially if you are not adjusted to the hot climate as compared to your ever familiar home country. In Singapore, water is safe to be consumed direct from the tap. Bottled water coming in various sizes are easily available anywhere and I mean literally anywhere! Do not scrimp or attempt to save the earth by not drinking water. Okay, pardon me for my lousy attempt at being humorous but I hope you get my point. If you really love Mother Earth, do your part to save water in any other ways like turning the tap off when not in use or using a half flush after your short toilet breaks.
Electricity in Singapore
The voltage in Singapore is 220-240 volts AC, 50 cycles per second. For most hotels, they should be able to provide you with the transformers. In any case, if there is no transformer provided for you, you can get it any retail hardware stores that can be easily found in shopping malls. I guess most tourists will be bringing around their cameras or mobile phones while traveling so remember to bring those chargers along. The power plugs used in Singapore are of the three-pin, square-shaped type. A piece of advice for tourists is to check the voltage of the item against the acceptable voltage in your home country and power plugs.
